In 2002 Harold was driven to Topeka by Detective Wehmeyer for a polygraph. As Harold states, he passed with no problem.
On this tape, recorded in 2019, Harold is directing this information to podcaster Mike Morford for his podcast interview.
Harold mentions the car accident Randy had been involved in two weeks before the party.
Kenny said his grandmother told him Harold had called. Kenny was pleasant and helpful to Harold and shared information about Randy's keys.
Harold said he would go to the detectives with this new information.

Harold Leach devoted his life to searching for his only child, Randy. Soon after Randy disappeared on April 16, 1988, Harold and Alberta could see that the investigation was not being handled properly and they sensed very early on that they would be the ones to carry out this search. Following is a conversation Harold had in May 1988 with a detective working the case. Already, Harold's frustration is evident.
